Shortwave vs Superhuman vs Fyxer Pricing: What One AI Inbox Costs a Year (2026)

By SoloStack Editorial Team · Published October 19, 2026

Three AI email assistants. One person, one inbox, one year. By their own pricing pages, that year costs anywhere from $360 to $588 on the entry plan that includes the inbox features. And at one of them, the email app isn’t listed on the cheaper plans at all.

Watch the video version above, or read the full breakdown below. Every number links to the page it came from.

The Test User (a model, not a measurement)

Here’s the user. One person, one inbox, 12 months. For each tool, we price the cheapest plan that puts its AI features inside your email.

Prices are list prices in dollars per month. Some pages show a monthly price and a yearly one. We label which, every time. This is a model, not a person we watched.

Three Tools, Three Price Cards

Shortwave first. On the business tab, Business is $30 per seat per month. Premier is 45. Max is 120. Each plan up gives more AI usage and more AI-powered filters: three, then 10, then 50.

One thing the page text doesn’t say: whether those prices are billed monthly or yearly. So when we multiply by 12, read it as 12 times the listed price, nothing more. There’s a 14-day free trial.

Superhuman’s page is a whole suite now. Free is $0 and Pro is $12 a month billed annually, but on this page those two list Grammarly, Docs and Go. Mail, the email app, first shows up in Business.

Business is $40 a month billed monthly, or $33 billed annually.

Fyxer prices per person. Pro is $49 a month billed monthly, or $37 billed annually. That’s the plan the page lists for replies drafted in your tone and automatic labeling. Team is $99 monthly, or $64 annually.

Fyxer’s own FAQ says automatic labeling starts with Pro, and the Free plan doesn’t sort your inbox for you.

The One-Inbox Year

Now the year, for one person on the entry plan. Shortwave Business, $360, as 12 times the listed price. Superhuman Business, $396 billed annually, or $480 billed monthly. Fyxer Pro, $444 billed annually, or $588 billed monthly.

Paying yearly saves $84 at Superhuman and 144 at Fyxer. Shortwave shows one price, so there’s nothing to compare.

The Trial Line

Here’s the line worth reading twice. Fyxer’s FAQ says the free trial gives you its Team plan for 14 days, with unlimited credits.

Team is $99 a month billed monthly. Pro, the plan one person would usually buy, is 49. So what you try is a plan that costs about twice as much. When the trial ends, check which features stay on Pro.

Fyxer also runs on credits. Pro has unlimited credits for the first three months as a launch offer, then 3,000 credits a month per paid member. The page says 400 credits a month is about 20 chat messages. What a credit buys beyond chat isn’t priced on the page.

The “Time Saved” Claim

Superhuman’s Business card says it helps you save four hours every single week. We did not measure that. But if it were true, that’s about 17 hours a month, and $40 a month works out to about $2.31 per hour saved.

That’s the only way to read a time-saved claim: divide the price by the hours, then test the hours yourself during the trial.

What We Did Not Measure

What we did not measure: draft quality, hours actually saved, how accurately anything gets labeled, and what breaks when you hit a limit. A trial is the only way to see those.

How to Choose

So here’s the short version. Find the cheapest plan that actually puts AI inside your inbox. Check whether the price is billed monthly or yearly before you multiply by 12. And know which plan your trial is, and what you keep when it ends.
