About SoloStack

SoloStack is an independent publication that reviews and compares AI tools, automation platforms, and no-code software for solopreneurs, freelancers, and small teams. We started this site because most software review content online is written for enterprise buyers — long procurement cycles, seat-based pricing at scale, IT department sign-off — and almost none of it speaks to someone running a one-person business who needs a tool that works today, at a price that makes sense for a solo budget.

What we cover

We focus on categories that matter most to solo operators: AI writing and content tools, email marketing and CRM platforms, all-in-one business builders, automation and workflow tools, and the various point solutions solopreneurs stitch together to run a business without a team. Our comparisons ("X vs Y"), alternatives roundups, and best-of listicles are built to answer one practical question: which tool should I actually sign up for?

How we review

Our review process combines hands-on use of each product's free trial or entry-level plan, a review of publicly available pricing and feature documentation, and comparison against competitors in the same category. Where we haven't yet completed hands-on testing of a product, we mark ratings and scores as pending rather than publish an invented number.

How we make money

SoloStack is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up for a product after clicking through — at no additional cost to you.
